Rosscarbery Discover Wildlife Walks
Discover the wildlife of the West Cork coast at Rosscarbery on the Wild Atlantic Way.

This Thursday, 13 August, I’ll be leading a small group around Rosscarbery on the West Cork coast, exploring the diverse habitats of the area to see what wildlife we can find. If you’d like to join me you can book your place using the form at the bottom of this post (places are limited, and are offered on a first come, first served basis).

Discovering the wildlife around Rosscarbery.

Rosscarbery is one of my favourite wildlife watching destinations along the West Cork coast. It offers a wide variety of accessible habitat types, supporting an amazing diversity of wildlife, all within a manageable area we can explore comfortably on foot during our half-day or full-day guided tours.

The walk on Thursday is a full day tour. We meet at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery for a 10am start, and the costs is €40 for adults. Children under 16 can join the walk for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

You’ll find full details about the walks here. To book your place simply fill in the form below.

  • The walk was great, even though the seals and dolphins and whales were too shy to come out. There were enough birds and bugs to feast the eyes on and the weather was fantastic! Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for the comment Livonne. It was a pleasure to meet you, and I’m delighted you enjoyed the walk. The choughs were a real treat.

I just posted an entry to the blog here if you’re interested.
