Discover Wildlife Walk Saturday 03 May 2014

Little Egret
A little egret — a relatively new arrival to Ireland… and a regular on our Discover Wildlife Walks.

I’ll be running a Discover Wildlife Walk on the beautiful West Cork coastline around Rosscarbery on Saturday the 03 May. There are still places left for anyone who’d like to join us.

We’ll be leaving the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery at 10am, arriving back around 4pm.

The cost of this full-day walk is €30 for adults and €15 for children accompanied by an adult. You’ll find full details on our Discover Wildlife Walks page here.

Rosscarbery is a great, accessible spot for wildlife watching and a full day walk puts a good range of habitats within  striking distance. As always with wildlife there’s no predicting what we might see on the day — but we’re sure to see quite a variety during the course of the day.

NB. While the walk is easy, with lots of stops to look for / at wildlife along the way, because of its duration a full-day walk may be unsuitable for young children.

I have a limited number of binoculars available for loan on the day, and will be carrying a high quality spotting scope to give us really good views of any more distant wildlife we may encounter. If you have you own binoculars please bring them with you.

To book your place on the walk just fill in the form below:
