About Sarah Corner

Wildlife Artist Sarah CornerBorn in England in 1964, Sarah grew up with a passion for painting and the natural world. She trained and worked in London on the restoration of painted and gilded antiques and oriental lacquer, including pieces for the V&A and science museums and the Palace of Westminster.

Living and working from her studio in Co. Tipperary since 2001 Sarah’s inspiration comes from the landscape and wildlife of Ireland.
Sarah exhibits with the Kilcock art Gallery Co. Kildare, the Origin Gallery, Dublin and the Slane art and print gallery , Co.Meath She has had eight solo exhibitions and her work has been purchased by the OPW. Some of her work is available as limited edition prints.

“I work mostly in oils and although started in the field, my paintings are usually completed over several weeks or longer back in my studio, however I spend much time sketching and always include some watercolour birds studies in an exhibition,” said Sarah. “I am inspired by the beauty and wonder of the natural world and while I pay great attention to detail, especially with birds, I always try to convey the magic of the moment in nature that I am trying to depict.”
